Description: This tour called HORSEBACK RIDING TO CERRO DOROTEA will consist of reaching one of the peaks of the SIERRA DOROTEA on horseback. This place is very close to the city of PUERTO NATALES, so the transfers will not take more than 20 minutes to reach the starting point. Once there, we will equip ourselves with leg protectors and helmets. The guides will help us gear up and explain what the journey will consist of.
Basically, it will be horseback riding to one of the peaks of the SIERRA DOROTEA, named after the marine captain, explorer, and rancher Hermann Eberhard, in honor of his daughter Dorotea. Along the way, we will encounter a lot of low-growing flora such as zapatito de la virgen, topa topa, chauras, and many lenga and coihue de Magallanes, trees that are characteristic of the area and belong to the Nothofagus family.
Surpassing 500 meters above sea level, we will begin to appreciate a unique panoramic view of our surroundings. This view will be formed by Almirante Montt Gulf, Señoret Channel, Última Esperanza Fjord, and several mountains such as Sarmiento Mountain Range, Mount Balmaceda, Cerro Rotundo, and several more.
Once at the top, we will be able to rest, take photos, and have a good time with the horseback riding group, who always end up becoming friends. After breathing fresh air, good conversation, and friendship, we will return to our starting point. Upon arrival, we will be offered a cup of coffee with homemade bread and some sopaipillas with jam made by the homeowner. Return to PUERTO NATALES.
